On Saturday March 4th, WCI exhibited a table at the Federation for Children with Special Needs (FCSN) Conference at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston.
The Conference is for parents, family members and professionals to meet and exchange ideas; there were several hundred people in attendance. The conference also had several talks and lectures about managing, supporting and encouraging Individuals with a multitude of challenges.
At WCI’s table, we had information about the services and supports we offe
r to adults, including: Residential and Individual supports; Vocational and Employment services; Life skills training; Deaf and Deaf/Blind Supports; and the extensive Expressive and Movement Therapies available.
Visitors to our table were particularly impressed by the art work presented on postcards, especially the vibrant colors. Dozens of cards were given out!
We were also visited by the Commissioner of DDS, Elin Howe, who dropped by to say ‘Hi!’.
All-in-all it was a very successful day, and something that we will do again next year.
It was great to get the word out about who we are and what we do at WCI!
